Sileby At War

This project is a memorial for the men and women of Sileby (including Seagrave & Cossington) that served in wars up to and including World War II. Other war related information is also collected here.

This project will no longer be updated due to the passing of

its devoted creator, Geoff Rose in April 2022.

Click on one of the following links for more details.

Pre World War I

Not much information has been found; The links below give the search results for military related documents not associated with the World Wars. Note that only a small amount of information is available for free.

General

Thanks go to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for their excellent website and permission to use their certificates that helped me get the project off to a flying start. For a sobering thought, try searching for your surname e.g. for mine (Rose) there are nearly 1200 listed!
