Ratcliffe Aerodrome

Ratcliffe Aerodrome was situated near to Ratcliffe College.

During World War 2, the aerodrome was named No.6 Ferry Pool for the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) and became part of a network of around 14 ferry pools used to safeguard newly produced aircraft from the factories as soon as they were ready.
