2008

Let us know of any events happening in 2008.

 

The SeagraveWI meets at 7.30pm on the first Monday of every month (except July) in the Seagrave Memorial Hall on Green Lane. We usually have a speaker and I have set out what is happening for the following dates :-

  • February 4th - Beauty Demonstration by a Boots Beautician
  • March 3rd - A Spring Flower Arrangement Demonstration
  • March 31st - National Trust Gardens
  • April 28th - Discussion of WI Resolutions
  • June 2nd - Craft Evening
  • August 4th - Scattered Scruffs
  • September 1st - Smile Please - Say Cheese
  • October 6th - Hedgehog Rescue
  • November 3rd - Christmas Cookery
  • December 1st - Annual Meeting and Supper

The annual subscription is £27, which includes quarterly copies of the new magazine WI Life. If you would like to join us as a visitor the £2.50 charge would be reimbursed if you would like to become a member.

SILEBY PARISH WALKS 2008

Why not come and join us and enjoy exploring the local parish footpaths and countryside? A chance to meet with new people and healthy exercise, everyone welcome. All walks start from Sileby Community Centre at 7-00 pm and are led by John and Beverly Burton (Tel 01509 815525) and Dave Thompson.

Tuesday 22nd April - Cossington Road, Platts Lane, Blackberry Lane, Ratcliffe College, Ratcliffe Road, 3 1/2 miles.

Tuesday 20th May - Barrow Road, British Gypsum, Old Quorn Hunt Kennels, Big Lane, Seagrave, Memorial Park, 5 miles.

Tuesday 17th June - Sileby Mill, Cossington Meadows, River Soar, Cossington Old Mill, Platts Lane, Cossington Meadows, Cossington Road, 4 miles.

Tuesday 22nd July - Ratcliffe Road, Ratcliffe on the Wreake, Rearsby Mill, Ratcliffe Barn, Ratcliffe College, Ratcliffe Road, 5 miles.

Tuesday 19th August - Sileby Mill, Mountsorrel Hills, Mountsorrel Lock, River Soar, Barrow Road, 3 1/2 miles
